Formed in 2025, letteRDead is a progressive alternative and indie rock band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Drawing influence from classic rock, progressive rock, indie rock, hardcore, and punk, the band blends powerful dynamics, driving rhythms, and memorable melodies into a sound that is both energetic and emotionally resonant.

The band's foundation was built on a longtime musical partnership between Jimmy Richards (guitar/vocals) and Brenton Ryder (bass), who have been writing and playing music together since their early teens. Alongside guitarist/vocalist John Napier and drummer Matthew Albright—both veterans of previous regional projects—letteRDead brings together years of experience and a shared passion for creating meaningful music. Jimmy is also currently studying music through Berklee Online, bringing an ongoing dedication to musicianship and songwriting to the band's creative process.

Lyrically, letteRDead explores themes of theology, spiritual warfare, personal struggle, and self-reflection. Their songs aim to engage listeners on a deeper level while remaining accessible through captivating melodies, dynamic arrangements, and rhythms that keep audiences moving.
